Considering this was less than a two hour flight on a European carrier, I was impressed with the business class service on this flight.  I’ve flown Aegean Airlines in economy class numerous times and am a Gold frequent flyer with them, however this was my first time flying with them in business class.

Cabin and Seat

Like most European airlines, Aegean’s business class cabin seats are identical to those in economy with a blocked middle seat which is converted into a tray table.

As there were only four business class passengers, only the first row was allocated for business class and the rest of the cabin was reserved for economy class passengers.  Business class passengers don’t necessarily have more legroom than economy class, however my seat on the left side bulkhead had plenty!

Food

Aegean served a full meal on this short flight departing Athens just past 1:00AM.  Menus were distributed before takeoff and read as follows:

Though I was not in the mood for a meal at this time of day, I was happy to see there were some nice choices if I wanted to eat and drink.  I asked for a glass of water and that was all.

No one else seemed to eat, so unfortunately I didn’t even get to see how the food looked.

Bottom Line

Aegean Airlines, I have zero complaints.  With a friendly crew, nice food and drink selection, and great legroom for a European carrier, what more can I ask for on a sub two hour flight?  Obviously sitting in an economy seat when paying for business class is pretty annoying, however I knew to expect that coming in.  As far as European airlines go, Aegean was one of my better business class experiences, though I wish I had tried the food.
