Qsuites, Qatar Airways’ new “super business class” is without a doubt the best ride in the sky for a business class product, even rivaling some first class products as well. I had waited months to fly Qsuites and when the time came, I was not disappointed.
The business cabin is set up in a 1-2-1 configuration. The odd numbered rows each feature two middle seats can be combined into one double bed. Though a single traveler cannot book these seats in advance, if available you may request them onboard which is exactly what I did. While the individual seats are private and spacious, having the double bed suite made this flight so much more enjoyable.
At the time of booking, I had assigned myself seat 3K which is a backward facing “true” window suite. The forward facing even numbered seats are slightly less comfortable with the seat up against the door. Waiting in the suite was a pillow, blanked, amenity kit, and bottle of water. Within 5 minutes, I was brought a glass of champagne, hot towel, given the food and drinks menu, and introduced to the crew who would watch over me for the 14+ hour flight.
Dining options on this flight were excellent. Qatar Airways has a dining on demand concept in business class where you can order anything on the menu at any time and as often as you wish. As this flight was departing at 8AM, the menu had options for breakfast, lunch, and other snacks. Everything I ate and drank was delicious and beautifully presented.
Overall, the flight was simply spectacular in every way. I would be willing to travel out of my way to be able to fly in that double bed suite with closing doors again. I’ve never experienced a seat so private, food so well presented, and service this personal. Quites, I hope to see you again soon!
Best way to book Qsuites using miles?
Qatar Airways is constantly updating the planes they fly to their various destinations, however the current best deal to try out Qsuites using miles is on their Shanghai (PVG) to Doha route. This flight is long enough to enjoy all the ammenities on offer and at only 40,000 American Airlines miles, an excellent mileage redemption. For the same cost, you may add connecting flights onward to any city in the Middle East or East Asia.
Qatar Airways’ Qsuites is a stunning product, and anyone who appreciates premium cabin flying must give it a try!
