Location: Larnaca International Airport
If you’re flying to Cyprus, chances are you’ll be landing at Larnaca International Airpirt (LCA). While not a very busy airport, Larnaca has growing air traffic and thus has recently renovated it’s main lounge. I had been here before the renovation a few times and it was quite hideous, though I think they did an excellent job making it into a nice space to relax, eat, and get some work done.
Getting Here
After going through security and passport control, you’ll turn left at the duty free shops and take the elevator up one floor where you’ll find both the Aspire and Aegean lounges.
How to Access
This lounge can be accessed with a business class ticket on most airlines, airline elite status, or with lounge memberships like Priority Pass.
Lounge Overview
After checking in at the front desk you’ll arrive in the center of the lounge.
To the left is plenty of seating, to the right is more seating as well as a small buffet area, and straight ahead is the outdoor deck with excellent views of the airport.
While the food selection is pretty bad and the drinks are nothing to rave about, I did like the modern design as well as the outdoor space overlooking the apron.
The lounge does feature shower rooms as well, though I didn’t check them out. The old shower rooms were not very clean, though I do hope they renovated those as well.
Bottom Line
While I wouldn’t want to spend several hours here, the new lounge is a huge improvement over the old one and perfectly fine for a short layover. It would be nice if they could provide some decent food as well!
